Ipamorelin

Product Overview

Ipamorelin (development code NNC 26-0161) is a pentapeptide (Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) derived from GHRP-1 that significantly increases plasma growth hormone levels in both animals and humans. Unlike GHRP-2 and GHRP-6, Ipamorelin does not stimulate ACTH or cortisol secretion, making it highly selective for GH release only. It also does not affect prolactin, FSH, LH, or TSH levels.

Mechanism of Action

Ipamorelin mimics the action of natural ghrelin by targeting ghrelin/GHS receptors in the pituitary gland, stimulating growth hormone production and release. Its selectivity means it enhances GH secretion without triggering the stress hormone cascade (cortisol, ACTH), providing "clean" anabolic stimulus without the metabolic side effects of less selective secretagogues.
